MICHENER IN OUR HOME STATE

Michener applied the epic, expansive style he is known for to Colorado in his 1974 publication of Centennial. Having lived in Greeley while teaching at the Colorado State College of Education in the 1930s, he took his personal knowledge of the area and expanded it to encompass the prehistoric West to the fictionalized town of Centennial in the 1970s. Centennial is a tale of Native Americans, trappers, immigrants, farmers, cowboys, and even ecologists, all making their way in this dry-land state we call home.

Limited to just 500 signed and numbered copies, of which this is no. 298, signed by the author.
