VANISHING AMERICAN SUPERNATURAL FICTION AUTHOR

Among the ranks of Edgar Allen Poe, Ambrose Bierce shaped American supernatural fiction, crafting Gothic tales of death in his precise, stripped-down prose. Fittingly, Bierce eventually disappeared on a trip to Mexico in 1913, leaving behind a letter to a friend closing with, "As to me, I leave here tomorrow for an unknown destination."

This collection of short stories was limited to 300 copies and includes "An Occurrence at Owl Creek," one of the most famous American short stories.

Price: $150.00
