THE YEARLY GIFT BOOK
Most well known for illustrating Queen Elizabeth II's official stamps, Edmund Dulac left his mark on the golden age of illustration through the illustrated gift book. Dulac was employed by Leicester Galleries to paint popular stories, upon which the rights to the illustrations were sold to Hodder and Stoughton to produce one illustrated gift book a year. Originally published in 1909, Dulac's dainty and dreamy illustrations beautifully match Khayyám's lushly hedonistic poem. This 1983 limited edition reissue features all twenty tipped-in color illustrations.
