BEFORE THERE WAS KEWPIE
Although Rose O'Neill (1874-1944) made her name in American illustrating for her Kewpie cartoons, her famous cartoon strips were predated by an adult novel. Despite not achieving the fame she hoped for through her written work, the semi-autobiographical romance is full of her black and white illustrations, alluding to the illustrative legacy she would leave.
Presented here is a first edition, charmingly bound in decorative publisher's cloth.
