FOR THE BUDDING AGRONOMIST

Following his 1907 appointment as chief of the University of Minnesota’s newly reorganized Division of Agricultural Chemistry and Soils, Snyder took his Soils and Fertilizers into its third edition, further establishing it as a practical resource for those interested in agronomy. Shortly after its publication, Snyder left the university to become chief chemist for the Russell-Miller Milling Company, a leading flour producer headquartered in Minneapolis. This edition was revised and enlarged from material developed through his instruction at the University of Minnesota.
