CORRECTED BY SMITH
Privately printed in Auburn in 1933 in an edition of just 1,000 copies, The Double Shadow and Other Fantasies was Clark Ashton Smith’s first collection of short fiction and remains one of the key early books of American weird fantasy. Issued in gray printed wrappers, the volume gathers six tales from Smith’s strange and decadent imaginative world.
This edition, signed by Smith, is especially appealing for Smith’s manuscript corrections to the printed text, giving the book a tangible record of the author revisiting his own work after publication.
